Students are my ultimate clients. I teach to educate and empower my students. I write to help anyone else involved in education make the students they influence feel empowered, too. Most recently, I earned my Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree from South Dakota State University, specializing in primary and secondary curriculum and design. Before that, I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a secondary teaching specialization and psychology minor from the same university. Since then, I've taught middle school science for three years, been published twice in Empowering Research for Educators, presented my cohort's research project at ISTE 2018, and have been an ambassador for numerous educational technology platforms including EDpuzzle and Legends of Learning.
